Why own something if it isn't pretty? That's our motto over here at ShopReclaimed and it holds true for these beautiful vintage niello rings from Afghanistan! Did you know? Niello refers to the technique and is also the black mixture, usually comprised of sulphur, copper, silver and lead, that is used as an inlay on engraved or etched metal, especially silver. It is added as a powder or paste, then fired until it melts and flows or is pushed into the engraved lines in the metal.
